Curriculum. Programming includes the history of the game, the evolution of the game, rules, team concepts & training techniques and individual lacrosse basic skills with both boy’s and girl’s lacrosse sticks. Each class is one hour and all equipment is provided.
Instructors. Crescents' coaching staff is the best in NYC. Our coaches have played both high school and collegiate lacrosse, directed & counseled summer camps and have coached youth, high school and collegiate teams.
Programs may be offer as co-ed or you may request to separate boys and girls, which would require an additional coach.
Safety. Although there will always be at least one program leader that is first aid certified, program leaders will rely on each school’s staff in case of an emergency. All games will be adapted to a non-contact version and soft lacrosse balls will be used for safety purposes.
Equipment. Brooklyn Crescents Lacrosse provides all lacrosse sticks. Contracted instructors will remain responsible for any lost or stolen equipment. Goggles, cones, a (modified) goal and tennis balls should be provided by the schools where available. When not available, Brooklyn Crescents Lacrosse will provide the necessary equipment.
Program Costs. Instructor pay and curriculum planning are the only costs associated with the program, making this program extremely cost effective. Average program costs are around $500 - $1,500 per 10 session unit. At most schools this breaks down to less than $5 per student per session.
ALL PROGRAMS ARE BUILT TO SUIT THE NEEDS OF EACH SCHOOL AND THIER STUDENTS, JUST ASK!
